Hello all,

I finished this one recently - a Canadian Lewis Gunner at Passchendaele. It's sculpted by JM Danel. I used acrylics as usual.

Thanks for looking,
Edward

Merry Christmas to everyone at PlanetFigure.

Photos and mud effect are brilliant Edward.

Figure is interesting sculpt, I wonder did Lewis gunners really wear the magazine pouches that high up?
They do provide a different look & feel for this figure.

Safe, festive season greetings to all.

Thanks guys!

Mike, really not sure about the placement of the pouches - thanks for your kind comments!

Great subject and painting.Such a shame that a remarkably gifted sculptor like J.M.Danel is no longer active.

Oda.

With the previous photos, this should clear up where the ammo containers were worn. In the first photo below, I believe the gunners are probably US trainees with a French training officer on the left side of the photo.

All the best,
Dan
