YS Masterpieces recently released their 1st 75mm figure from the Moby Dick Classic, "Call of the Wretched Sea" depicting a sea Captain ready to harpoon a whale. Cast in yellow resin this kit comes in a sturdy cardboard box and consists of 8 resin parts.

Above are the parts out of the box with the main part being the torso and head, arms, and left hand holding the harpoon. The resin base depicts the deck of a whaling ship.

Above are the four sides of the torso and head. Two parts of the scarf are cast separatelt for more realism.

Above are several close-ups of the torso showing the great detail Yiannis has sculpted into the figure. Right down to the wooden right leg.

Above are the separate cast right and left arms that when dry-fitted to the torso fit snuggly.

Above is the left hand and harpoon attached to the casting sprue to ensure against breakage during shipping. Care needs to be taken when removing the sprue from the harpoon.

Above are the parts of the 2 piece scarf and a close-up of the scarf.

The top photo is of the bottle Ahab carries in his right hand and the bottom photos are of the resin simulated ship's deck.

Conclusion:
An excellent kit from YS Masterpieces requiring minimal clean-up. Excellent detail with quality resin. Highly recommended.
