Cadmium vs. Cadmium free oil paints

    OK, so what is the effect difference between the two beside the health concerns? Does one have a better effect than the other?

    As I use up my Cadmium paints, I have been replacing them with W & N 'Cad-Free'. So far, I can see no difference. Few other paint lines have 'Cad-Free'.

    As long as you're not spreading your cadmium yellow on a piece of bread and eating it, it's not very likely that painting with it will expose you to sufficient quantities to give you cadmium poisoning.
