Just to give you a brief update on my extension to Carl Reid's Gordon Highlander Sergeant.
Compared to the out put of some of you fine fellows it is taking what feels like an age.
I have not done any real work on; hands,Kilt, kilt apron, hose tops and flashes..Oh and very little of the ground work.
The MK1 SMLE rifle is just about complete but is still a bit wet to be moved about too much.
All paintwork is W&N oils (with distilled turpentine for washes). There is still a long way to go but it is good to start seeing the character coming through. I hope that you like the look of it at this early stage.
    Cheers
    Keith

    Thanks Roger,
That the best complement you could have made but it was made quite a bit easier with Carl finishing it off nicely at the waist belt.
Thanks for looking and commenting, it realy does help.
    Cheers,
    Keith

You're welcome keith, if you've got a spare couple of minutes you could knock out a pair legs for the Tyneside irish bust I'm doing. :D:D:D

You are far too advanced with this bust to let me loose on it Roger.
It's great bust and you are really bringing it to life. How does it finish at the bottom? With no success I have tried to find photos showing the waist and back view. Although WW1 is not first love period (He says working on a 1914 Highlander) I am tempted with this one.
Looking at your stuff I'm sure you are more than capable of knocking out a pair of pins. Have a go mate.
    Cheers,
    Keith

Thanks Keith but I'll stick to paint and brushes I think ;)
The next photo's I take I'll include the bottom half aswell.

    Roger.

OK I understand. Maybe I'll do the conversion and you add a lick of paint.
Keep 'em coming Roger, top man.
