    Gents,
Few years back I sculpted this bust with milliput.
This year I decided to dissassemble it and improve it.

I cast head and torso in resin in and now am in the process of adding some details and smoothing/sanding the flat surfaces which I was not happy to begin with. Any tips how to achieve nice smooth finish would be helpful ;)
So far only the right arm and parts of the helmet have been sanded.

Very nice job. You are braver than I - disassembling a painted piece. I know that I would never repaint it.

    Colin,
That was one of the pieces that bugged me everytime I looked at it
Once you convience yourself that it will look better it is very easy to re-do it ;)
    Cheers,
    A.

    Hi Arthur,
in my opinion one must learn to live with his past... ;), anyway is a real piece of beauty, I like the subject and the pose, do you have more pieces like this ?
What are you using, the tamiya putty ? Try to make a fine layer of magicsculpt and smooth it with alchool.
About the shield, in my opinion it would be nice to see a full piece, decorated with some drawing like this.
If you would like to recast it again, when done, I'll purchase a copy of it... :)
    Ciao, Luca
