Very cool figure and great painting. Hey, I'm not trying to pick at all at this figure, I'm just curious, didn't the water-jacket on these machine guns have some sort of "piping" that went to a water source. Like the box on the lower portion or a container of some sort? I guess I always asumed the large muzzle on these was because they were water cooled. Thanks for sharing!

The condensate of the cooling water runs into the can through the hose. Then the water's poured back into the cooling jacket. The gallon of water could evaporate in as little as two minutes of firing. Since there's some inevitable loss, there had to be an extra water supply near the MG pit. Or some full bladders..... :eek:
