Last week I received the latest release from Stormtrooper Miniature's Black Sheep series of a British Officer, 43rd Light infantry during the Napoleonic Wars. This bust is sculpted by the ever talented Maurice Corry and painted by PlanetFigure's own Mark Bennett (gothicgeek). An excellent step-by-step article can be seen here .

The kit arrived in a sturdy white cardboard box with all the parts sealed inside a bubble wrap envelope. After unwrapping and opening the envelope the small parts were sealed inside a clear zip-lok bag.

Above you see various views of the separately cast head showing the amazing detail Maurice has sculpted.

Above is the front and back of the right arm and hand. The casting plugs from the hand can be carefully removed.

The Epaulet is shown above which fastens to the right shoulder.

Dry-fitting

Above you see the head dry-fitted down into the neck socket for a perfect fit.

Above you see the head and right arm and head dry-fitted to the chest portion of the bust. Perfect joint on the shoulder requiring no filling.

Above is the bust plinth supplied with the kit.

Above you see photographs of the master before casting began.

Conclusion:
An excellent kit by Stormtrooper Miniatures. All dry-fitting done was excellent. Some mold blocks will need to be removed. Highly recommended.
