British military saddle

    Just cleaning up the new Maurice Corry 5th dragoon officer and was wondering if the saddle would be brown or black leather.
    Any one out there help with this.
    Also the tunic collar.
    Was it red or green

    I'm not by any means an authority:cautious: but, my copy of 'Into the Valley of Death' by Mollo, indicates that the collar, cuffs, and skirt turnbacks of the coatees for the 5th DG were dark green. As for the saddlery and horse furniture, this was brown. Hope this helps. By the way, thats an awesome figure and I look forward to seeing it completed :).

    Martin could you go round to a stables if there is one near you and have look at the saddles there. Saying its brown does not really help with the wonderful rich colours on almost any saddle.
