DSC09641 (537x800).jpg DSC09645 (600x800).jpg some more work on the figure. I have started base coating his tunic and gold lace and trousers. I have base coated his great coat and have started work on highlights and shadows ,I have put a few nicks and tears in the coat and will weather it up a bit, and with the trousers too.I have decided to position his head looking to his left rather than the box art which is the opposite way. hope you like his progress

You are really bringing this figure to life John.
    Very nice clean brushwork.
I painted this fine figure a few years ago and have always been fascinated that the haversack and canteen are outside of the greatcoat and the straps are on the inside. Is there something I don't know?
Keep up the good work Mate.

Hi Keith, thanks for the feed back. I thought the same thing with straps to when I first stated work on him. Then I thought maybe the cape over the shoulders was covering that part of the straps, not sure but decided to leave it:)
