Item: One new in box 1/16th scale The Lost Battalion (or SK?) miniatures resin kit of a camel- mounted British trooper ca. 1885. All parts appear to be present.

Item Condition: As new. To the best of my knowledge this kit is out of production. Nice sculpting of an unusual subject.

Price: $85.00 plus shipping. Payment via Paypal.

Extra Info: I originally purchased this kit to convert the camel for a 1914 German camel rider, but have chosen to go another direction. This kit is just too well sculpted and original in its own design to use it in a conversion.

    Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Well maybe the same or similar design...I don't know. The most noticeable difference is that the TLB figure is resin and the Grieve is metal and they are different scales. Am I wrong?

    All the best

Certainly very similar. Details such as the rifle sling, the way his head's facing, the camel's leg positions and the fur on its thighs and the base's shape and rocks show the differences (as well as scale and material).

Both are very similar to a Britain's figure:

Something in the back of my mind says a company called "Armour Models" produced a 1/16 Camel rider and that the "Masters" from that company were acquired by James Welch of Dream Catcher, The Lost Battalion later picked up the master from DC when James and his wife went through a divorce..

But then again i could be completely wrong...:)
