    Nice one Ralph.
Funnily enough my mate at the local club who's usually a figure guy built his first aircraft for years and guess which one he picked? (You're right . there must be something about Willy's designs that attracts we types) :p

    Hi Ralph

That's nice , the panel lines look good and a clean finish with the markings as well

Perhaps when your ready we will see a pilot but in 1/48th ..definately too small for my eyes!!

    Thanks for sharing

"there must be something about Willy's designs that attracts we types"

    It sure does :)

The Bf 109 was the WWII fighter produced in larger numbers, with versions that started in combat missions on the Spanish Civil War (the Bf 109-B), and ended only when WWII was over, (with the Bf 109-K) .

Personally, it's my favorite WWII fighter, all fighters from all countries involved included. My favorite version would probably be the Bf 109-E, maybe followed by the Bf 109-G, but I love them all

It was maybe not the best WWII fighter, but when flew by the best pilots (like Adolf Galland, and many others) not even the best Allied fighters would win a dogfight!
The Ace of Aces, Erich Hartmann, who joined the JG 53 only in mid 1942, flew with different versions of the Bf 109, the last one being a Bf 109-K, and his record is the highest any war fighter pilot ever achieved (and hopefully will never be beaten), having scored 352 victories!...

Of course Willy's design attracts many modelers, there's no other WWII fighter as nice, elegant, with such beautiful lines... lol...

I do have a few on my stash to build "one of these days", all in 1/72 scale, various versions, and one at 1/32 scale that I plan to finish one day, but as I want to do a particular aircraft, only time will tell when I'll be able to gather all the necessary extra stuff I need, and finally do it...

    Cheers!
