Jacek,
This is an OUTSTANDING bust.
Everything is perfect: composition, likeness, texture and most of all character.
Unfortunately I've never found the time to paint other sculpts than my own but I'm VERY tempted by this one.
Once again, WOW!

... I can't see the pictures ...
I suppose you've done a bust of the famous Corsair pilot, would love to see it as WWII pilots and Aces are favourite subjects and there's too few figures of them.

The bust is based on Boyington's well-known portrait. Definitively NOT Robert Conrad in Baa Baa Black Sheep! :lol:

As much as I would like to do his figure, i only have 2 photos of him, other photos i found on the internet show him as a 70-year old, so if you could help me out on this one.....

... I can see the pictures now - it's great ! A super bust of the great Pappy Boyington ! This would look great next to a model of his Corsair !
I hope Quang will get you some pictures of Saburo Sakai, I think a bust of the famous Zero pilot would make a great companion piece for this one.
This could be the first of a great series - think about it, how about Bob Stanford Tuck, Ginger Lacey, Adolf Galland, George Beurling, Johnnie Johnson, Gabby Gabreski, Dick Bong, Gunther Rall, Guy Gibson, .... the list is endless !

Frankly, I'm normally not much interested in most busts. This one is downright beautiful and it captures Pappy really well! Great work Jacek!
