I spent a lot of time researching this figure. Bouvier des Eclaz lead a brigade of Carabinier in 1813 and probably he never had time to order and receive the cuirass as requested by the emperor

anyway I decided to make the figure wearing the theoretical uniform.

As usual I started using Metal Modeles part, we aren't looking for an huge trasformation, this one is a simply conversion

Ivo, terrific coice of character and pose.

    I love this already,

I hope you enjoy the build.

The colour contrast on this is going to be lovely.

Will you give him a black horse or a dark iron grey?

normally the carabineer rode black horses, I choose to paint an albino. I wanted to change the visual impact selecting this horse...

don't ask me if were possible for this guy have a white horse ... theoretically yes...

Lovely start to this, Ivo-- who said he didn't have a grey horse ? He may have done, as a remount for a time. I think you are entitled to some artistic licence, given that this will probably turn out as brilliant as usual (y):D

For sure my choice of an albino is an artistic license. The colour isn't usual and not the first choice for an high rank officer but not impossible.
I went to search a chromatic impact ...

Soon I'll post the pictures of the finished piece

Everyone seems to stick officers on white horses these days :) but we all know greys and whites were generally for trumpeters
Napoleon is always shown on a white but he had horses of other colours too .
Got some terracotta milliput yesterday ,its cheaper so using for groundwork :)
