Here is a project I have been working on for the past few months.... its a small one :)

This is a John Rosengrant sculpt of the 29th Infantry dashing up the beach on D-Day. It is 1/6 scale (12" tall). This ai a figure sold by War Paint Studio on ebay. You may have seen other versions on the Planet- Thanks to Kaz and Rob Norris for helping me with painting ideas and assembly. Its painted with acrylics and other mediums- whatever suited the situation. Thanks for looking.

Superbly executed figure. On a different point, US infantry are often depicted in action with their chin straps undone - I wonder how often this actually happened in real life rather than in the cinema. General Patton regarded being so attired as a chargeable offense even when not in action.

When i began to paint, i had a wrong belief that more big is figure, more simple it is to paint it.
Actually, it's opposite! More big is figure, more hard it is to paint it.
But this is a good work.
    Well done!

    Best Wishes

Wonderful work. I think that sometimes these 1/6 pieces can end up looking a bit toy-like, but you haven't fallen into that trap at all. It looks superb.

Beautiful work, Matt. You've brought out the stressed expression in his face perfectly and the weathering looks great. Top stuff!
