Hopefully a quick question about uniform insignia. When the 1st Battalion of the Black Watch was sent to France in 1914 as part of 1st Brigade and 1st ID, what emblem or brass or whatever [if any] did they wear on their epaulettes?

I've asked the same question on Great War Forum under their Uniforms section.

    All the best,

Answered quickly on GWF. They wore RH for Royal Highlanders on epaulettes.

    All the best,
    Dan
