Just got around to photographing this 54mm vignette in resin from Vladimir Danilov.

All the details are hand painted in oils over an acrylic undercoat.

I have recently discovered the use of "Liquin Fine Detail" as a thinning agent for my oils, and it really works wonders in painting small details, like the Latin motto around the Royal cipher on the colours.

There are more figures in this series available from Mr. Danilov, and one could make a 10-12 figure diorama if one chose to. My eyes could only take three.

Superb painting on display for us there. This is excellent. Very well put together and staged as well. Nice addition of the discarded French helmet...

Great work! I love liquin, and it really speeds drying time too.

Hi Steve, between my complete inability to take even a passable photograph, and the fact that I do not paint with photography in mind, my figures rarely look better in picture when compared to the real thing. I usually just take the picture, cringe and then post.

here's an alternate photo taken by my friend Rick Taylor, last time we met up for a coffee and figure chat. He took it with his cellphone! I'll leave it to you to decide if this is a better representation.
