Ladies and Gents, Billy Bishop is ready

Quite happy with the poor pics as they don't show the sharp defects

Joking apart, hope I have done justice to this awesome sculpt by Mike Good! It was as much a joyful painting as it was for Werner Voss.

While Billy awaits his mount, the Nieuport 17 by my brother Joseph to be ready later after Euro, he'll be a stand alone fight just like Werner was before him last year in the same Class

You have done a BEAUTIFUL job on our Bishop fig. The leather coat is fantastic! You will have to post pics when the plane is finished and the two pieces 'merge'. ...like your Voss piece =).

...so what's next on the list? Manfred and Moritz??

Thanks to ALL for looking and your kindness as usual.

Brian, coat like everything else is in acrylics. However it has an overall very diluted wash of Blue Black oil.......I discovered that if the wash (oil colour + white spirit) is applied on a matt area it retains the matt finish, whilst if applied over a satin finish (Vallejo's in the coat's case) it retains that satin look.......hope this helps.
