Ciao a tutti,

Here is my last figure, is the beautiful 54mm sculpture from Andrea Jula, commemorative piece of 2002 World Expo in Rome, the first and last one I attended.

Is also an important piece because the uniform is dated 1861, the italian unification, this year is 150 years celebration.

For the first time ever I painted the piece out of the box, I haven't even changed the base!

Hope you like it.

Ciao

Giovanni

Ciao Gordy!

The sword hilt is cast in 2 pieces and is a little bit fiddle to join..

Thanks for your compliments!

Ciao

Giovanni.

P.s.: how come the post is not showing on the homepage?

You're welcome, thanks for the info on the sword hilt :) white metal is more forgiving for such fine details!

The homepage updates every hour, 33 minutes to go ;) that way there are only 24 database queries a day instead of hundreds, makes my database happier :D

Love it Giovanni ... mine is still collecting dust and you inspired me and brought down memory of what a great piece of sculpt this figure is.

Eh I ricordi di WorlExpo Roma ... era la prima anche per me e non tanti bel ricordi, ma almeno quella di Girona er a almeno piu organizzata ...

Ciao Ivan,

nice to hear from you.

Great sculpture for sure, just one advice, the gloves should be black, not white... My mistake!

As for the organisation, you are right, Rome was a little bit of a problem but has been nice to see so many models and modellers from all over the world.

Keep in touch!

Giovanni

I liked a pose of this figure very much.
And your coat is also very brilliant.
I felt the heroic atmosphere.
Indeed a historical figure.
I congratulate completion.

Mitsutaka.
