The battle and river crossing 26th -29th November 1812
As the masses of the retreating Grande Armee struggled on to try and reach Poland the usually frozen Berezina river had thawed and had become impassable. After the first bridge had been destroyed brave engineers plunged into the freezing waters to construct a second bridge with some success...
Following my previous post on the Medieval Forge release I started the painting between Christmas and New Year....have almost finished this excellent figure with a bit of tidying up still to do and more depth to the shading....Happy New Year to all and thanks for looking ...Mike

    Hi Mike

A fine piece of artwork no doubt made a little easier by the quality of the sculpt and casting

For me the chèveron looks too small

    Thanks for sharing

Why not put something into FOTM as well

Thank you for looking and your comments guys.....think the "booty" is left to the painters discretion....I did mine as a rolled up rug...;) Mike
