Berdan Sharpshooter

Dear folks,

This is something which I am currently working on in addition to my fallschirmjager. I will be posing him shooting from behind a tree stump or fence.

I need some helps regarding detail pictures of the 1859 .54 caliber Berdan Sharps rifle. I need them as I will be scratch building it. I have search the internet but some details of the rifle are still missing eg top and reverse side. Any helps with the pictures will be greatly appreciated.

Wong, My friend information is on the way. If your sharpshooter is dated after 1862 you may want to only have him wearing a green forage cap. I can send you uniform information also if you like.~Gary

Yes I wiould like to have whatever information regarding the Berdan Sharpshooter. I thought their uniforms were green throughout the war. Anyway if their uniforms were blue after 1862, then I will go for the pre 1862 look. Too much blues in my showcase. It's time for some other colors.

As for the Sharps rifle, I will need to scratch build that first in order to fine tune the adjustment to his arms and head. Thanks in advance.

Dear Olly,

I don't think it's a hornet head. It was given to me by a friend, Calvin. BTW the scale of the my figure is 120mm.

I will be modifying its facial expression to fit the aiming pose.

Dear Folks,

I have finally scratch built the M1859 Sharps rifle. Attached is a pictorial SBS sculpting of the rifle. As for the details of the it, you will have to refer to my website at a later date.

With this I will be able to fine tune the posture of my Berdan sharpshooter.
