It's hard to tell if the back of the hand holding the rifle is badly sculpted, poorly painted, or both. Too bad as the rest of the figure is really nice. Back of the scabbard too. Strange.

I know this feeling only too well. Good luck with your smuggling but be careful - I got 5 1/35 vehicles in without being noticed earlier this year and have got in 4 parcels from Historex but only 2 were official ones ;-)

I suspect the rifle is a separate piece and if so, the butt should rest on the ground.

I agree about the left hand and the rifle, first I had the idea of rest it on the ground, but I thought it would be more attractive if the bayonet was higher.
I've prepared two pieces, a rifle and a left hand for to anyone who wants to put his gun to the desired height

The seated figure is fantastic......i have preferred another one at rest figure, to stay with the first one, instead of the trumpeter!!!!

I was privileged to see this in it's infancy and followed the development, I think the whole concept, sculpting and painting is excellent and kudos to you Jose mate for doing the change. I bet you wish you finished the other one now. That's got them thinking. Good luck with these, they deserve to do very well and another great addition to your Victorian soldier range.

All I can say, there was initially three figures and Jose cut the release back to two. Hopefully he will finish and release the third. It was worth releasing and I really liked the other figure and the dimension it gave the set.
