    Thinking about the stitching Steve mentioned ..might just try sanding but it so thin might just come away so if that happens I will paint the stitches in , he will be in a brown jkt so will show up okay

    Working on the medals details, painting will bring them out better ....looking forward to that

    Need to do the crosses he wears off the bust and then fit so they hang properly

    We are getting there !

    Update Iffyvision pic

    1 to go ........bottom left !

    Took off the seamson jkt collar ..too over scale , will put stitches in during painting

    Then a good overall clean up , prime and basecoated , medals first probably !

    Will hopefully all come together with a splodge of paint on them and bust !

    Not mine of course; remember this is a reward for LABOUR, only civilians can earn it.

    Civil servants and military are not entitled to this medal. Their activity is not considered 'labour'.

    ....now comes the painting ...with no bees ...lol

    Hi everyone

    Its Iffyvision update time

    All basecoating done .....will crack on with probably flesh/eyes first but " possibly " the ribbons , after a bit more on Tirpitz

    Used Brown Sand for flesh , black for the medals and more see with Worn Navy for the tie , shirt is weathered stone , jacket is a bloodtracker brown , hair is uniform grey , eyes light flesh plus weathered stone

    Small update

    Eyes done ...


    Wolf Grey plus touch of black then highlighted for eye colour ...grey/blue , burnt Umber for lower edge , black for upper and pupil , catchlight with titanium white , red as a wash in eye corners

    Will let fully dry now ...off to Tirpitz
