Almost all the photos, drawings, diagrams and text on infantry, cavalry and other Belgian uniforms, weapons and equipment came from my late and very generous friend, Roger DeBoecke. When I first corresponded with Roger, I was just trying to learn to sculpt; he offered support and thoughtful, helpful critique. He helped endlessly with research and corrected my mistakes patiently. Roger passed in 2008. I still miss him.

Thanks also to Planetfigure member and my friend Fernand Backaert for providing other images and information on Belgian uniforms, equipment and weapons. Much obliged!!

Images and materials that Fernand and Roger provided are intermingled except where noted.
