Hi Guys

Here is a few images of the Elite Miniatures Bavarian drummer, a lovely kit, with just a few complexities that threw me a little especially that Conflower Blue, it was a bitch to get right, but all in all a great little piece to have in the cabinet, there are a couple of small tidy up areas to be done including blending the figure to the base and the two straps on the drum.

Jason - the colour mix for the blue was a bitch to get right and took me ages, but eventually I ended up with the acrylic mix below

The Cornflower blue that you were after was mixed as this:

50% - Andrea Napoleonic Blue
50% - Andrea Union Blue

but you can mix them to the colour you consider closest to cornflower

Basic blue then has the following added

a small touch of Andrea light flesh No.1
a small touch of Andrea matt black
and a small touch of Vallejo Ivory

for shadows add a touch of Andrea Prussian Blue
for highlights add a touch of Vallejo Ivory


The Ivory is a must to use because its not as stark as white and does not encroach on the base colour, but just tints it
