Thank you John. Still work to do on her but I think this is the easier figure, I hope the guy turns out as well as the girl.

Very nice, Roger! Excellent choice of colors for the lady and the way you painted her face looks like she's even wearing a bit of rouge. :)

    All the best,
    Dan

Excellent painting Roger. I really admire th skill it takes tomake something flat appear so 3-D. I will be following your progres closely.

Cheers Tony, it's really not that difficult and I would encourage any figure painter to try at least one flat. it really does make you think about your light source, just like a "real artist" :D

    wip#4 coming soon.

Very nice, Roger! May I ask, how did you do the gold embroidery and lacing on her bodice?

    Prost!

Hi Brad, sorry, it's a secret :D Citadel "Shining Gold" straight from the pot on a brown base coat, simple as that.

BTW. Had a nice Franziskaner dunkel wiezen last week on vacation, my first of that type.. hmmm

Thanks, I pictured in my mind that it was a sort of drybrushing application.

Prost Franziskaner, that's my favorite, both dark and light, I keep the fridge stocked for my beer garden all summer.

    Prosit!

Brad, I suppose it was kind of drybrushing. Very little paint applied to the raised detail and built up until the desired effect was reached. It would be easier to show you than to explain. Perhaps over a couple of biers :)
