    Looks great.
But remove the crest from the helmet. It is only for show, not into a battle but for tournament's.

    Hey Balazs,
No, it is not the same crest. But i asked around here and there at the MEDROM forum: Look in the section; heraldy and flags, after this threat: Teutonic and horse Heraldry 13-14th C. Read it, and made your conclusion.

    Hello Marc,

thanks a lot. This site is very useful. I have printed the text and I will read it, but I think I would like make the other crest, because with it is the helmet better. This figur have served as a pattern:
    http://www.pegasomodels.com/details_en.asp?code=54-161

Anyway, I think you are right and my helmet is a little bit later as the Battle, not the norman style. I will make my conclusion :)

    Best regards,
    Balázs

I have read it. It isn't easy, because it looks better so - but it's fantasy category. (The most stupid was the Eisenstein film, where all knights have had horns on their helmets.)
    I must remove it.
    :( :( :(

    Hello Balazs.
yes, it is not easy when you have to choose between fantasy and historical correct (there are more thread's with historical correct).
You can make your choice's. What ever you like do it. It is your figure. If you want to do it historically correct, remove the crest.

Anyway, i like what you did so far.

Very good sculpting but one big remark.
I don't think it's possible to stab the knight with a sword because he's wearing a body armour which can't be penetrated.

    Hello!

Thanks a lot for a comment, but I think this sword was made not only for to stab but to cut this wear as wear too. Or else why need you the shield? This blads were verry heavy with you can cut the enemys helm too. Do you think not? We can try it?:) ;)

who is a swordsmith and made really swords. He have told me that you can stab the metalplate (armour) with a sword wich have twoo blade (although normann sword). The russian traders had conntact with the arabic world so they could buy good metals for their swords, wich wasn't brokenly. By the way it can't be broken if you stab with it in a soft and later harder thing.
I think it, but I wounder your opinion. Write it please.

Well you certainly made your homework. I thought it wasn't possible to penetrate chainarmor by stabbing it. But like I said, I 'm not an expert.
Keep going !! Hopefully I 'll see you figurines some day on some show.

    Hello Vergilius,

thanks for the comment. I have asked my colleague who is an archaeologist too about it, and he said, that it was possible. But I think it doesn't mater, because this scene was born in my head, so there are a few fantasy elements too. I'm not an expert too, but I want to make a heroic scene (with some fantasy :) )

    Best regards,
    Balázs

    blue face

    Hello!

Thanks a lot! The blue is trace of felt-tip pen, I have used it by the polishing. I have sculpted a figure of the hungarian king Mathias Corvinus (1458-1490) for many years ago, and now I have converted his face (resin copy) to this, it's not too good but enough because the snow will be higher. By the way have they any idea about snow? How can I make a really snow?

    Best regards,
    Balázs
