We had an informal meeting yesterday at the shop ( the Hussar ) and the subject of this years awards came up . We wanted something different than the norm , perhaps a pin that looks like an old military metal ??? But we would like the help of planet figure members !!!!

Pics of awards from our eurpean conterparts would be great or award pics or idears that have a new twist to it ;) Also as painters what would you like to recieve !!!! Any and all input is welcome and remember I am new blood to this wonderful art form and only look foward to doing figures till my eyes give out  and after Im gone my son will have something to pass on to his children.

ONCE AGAIN IF YOU HAVE PICS OF AWARDS SEND THEM or e-mail them to me at AKB61@mindspring.com

How about military emblems made up as tie pins or coat lapel pins?

    British cap badges -

    Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders

    Seaforth Highlanders

    French specialty uniform emblems -

I was thinking of something along the lines of a big spear, or another weapon of sorts. Of course, with the club logo engraved on it. But maybe the judges wouldn't be to pleased of having well armed people looking to talk to them after the show.

I like the cap badge/ lapel pin idea. SCAHMS used to use a medal with ribbon award, but it was given up as too laborious to assemble.
