I'd be tempted to take a scalpel to the back top of the cap, give it some creases and make it a bit lower than the peak and not much above the level of the two pieces that slightly over-lap and button in the front. Pretty minor really.

Some illustrations and photos. Hope they help.

    All the best,
    Dan

Yes, I have to trim the folded back side a bit, otherwise I will have no space for the glasses strip...

Not much, some wrinkles on the hat and hair. Hat is a separate piece. Now I must fit the glasses and the glasses stripe:

First try on the feathers did not turn out well, so i'll do it over, but I think I got the idea how to do them:

Building the volumes of the uniform, not very "clean" so far:

    Thx ;)
It seemed to me that glasses parts were a bit too wide, so I corrected the position, and now they are a bit closer.
I'm considering (beside the rope) to put also a mauser rifle ???
Would K98A be a good choice ? It has a interesting barell nozzle, and I think I recognized it on some pics ???

Ok, M.95 it is. Too bad, this one does not have such interesting noozle, but historical correctness is more important...

Not satisfied with some details, I'll probably redo some of them, and some will be fixed with sandpaper...

Great stuff!! May I make two suggestions?

Add some "fullness" to both pockets. Give the impression that they are not empty.

Make the middle top of the feldmutze slightly concave and then rounded up slightly at the top interior seams with a few creases.

If you disagree, feel free to ignore both suggestions. ;)

    All the best,
    Dan
