The Australian Model Expo 2016 was held over the long weekend of 11-13 June in Melbourne. Model Expo is Australia's largest annual model show and draws competitors from all over the country. This year was the largest show ever with more than 840 models entered into the competition.

Aussie Planeteers Andrew Perren, Andrew Judson (Specmod), Ben Flood, Greg Eckers and Jamie Stokes performed well in the figures and busts categories and enjoyed each others company and the chance to get together and talk about figures and busts. For me it was my first visit to Model Expo in over 17 years and a great chance to catch up with people I've known for year but haven't seen for almost two decades.

The Monday morning swap & sell was a highlight, with one trader selling off an entire deceased estate collection of rare and OOP figures and busts at half price.
