Hi guys

I’ve spent the past couple of months building an M113 kit for a bit of a change, but now I’m starting a new figure.
The skin colour will become darker once I add oils over the acrylic base coat. The kit itself is very well sculpted and well researched.

Nap, I never paint two figures the same way, so this one will be different from the bust, however the final result will hopefully be similar.

Thanks for all your comments guys. Here’s where I’ve got to after three sessions. Still working in acrylics but will start on oils soon.

After a long day with the oils, I’ve reached the point where I’m happy with the skin tones. The head, wunda shield and boomerang are now fixed.

I’ll give the paint and day or two to dry before adding the ceremonial white paint on the skin.

I'd say you nailed the flesh tones quite well

White paint added. I’ve also applied a thin coat of Vallejo Crackle Medium over the White to simulate the natural flaking due to movement of the body. Next step is to start on the groundwork.
