    Here is my latest one!

A "Sergent du 1er Régiment Etranger au Tonkin 1890" in walking out dress.

Made with parts from Verlinden, Dream catcher and Magic Sculp, painted in oils over Humbrol as usual.

Thanks a lot Chris! And you're right, there are a few dozen Foreign Legion figures & busts awaiting in my grey army...

    Hi Pierre

Another one leaves the bench and a one off as well which is nice ...like the medals and he certainly has a " French" look about him

Was the torso from a Velinden piece ?

    Thanks for sharing

Look forward to more from your brushes

    Happy benchtime

    Stay safe

    Hi Nap,

    Thanks for looking.

The torso is from a rather unassuming Verlinden bust, of which I got two:

    P1000957.jpg

Head & sun helmet are from an old legionnaire bust by Jean Jacques Lance made for DreamCatcher, the long defunct Belgian figure manufacturer, of which I got two also and painted one in 2014:

That leaves me with two French heads and two busts to combine, once I've worked out the uniformologic possibilities! BTW the original Verlinden got it all wrong: the officer has a captain's triple piping on his kepi, but has a contre-epaulette on his right shoulder, whereas he ought to have a full epaulette on both shoulders! Got to get this off my chest!

    cheers,

    Pierre
