Athenian hoplite, under the protection of goddess Athena
    Plataea battle, 479 bC .

It is painted in oils over enamel basecoat and true metals. The emblem on shield is free hand painted. Metal rods were used to support the weight of this metal figure.
An impressive, well sculpted hoplite in 75 mm by Carles Vaquero, released by Alexandros models (http://www.alexandrosmodels.com/cat...g-53-athenian-hoplite-persian-wars-490-479-bc)
