Guys;
I was asked if I could identify the origin of this tie. Looks like a Queen's crown over an English rose over a possible date (9:9) but I have no idea of the significance. Any thoughts

Hi Paul.
Below is the Q Lanc Reg Regimental tie.

I can see where Rich is coming from. Could be a Regimental Association tie ie No 9 Branch??? or Cadet Force tie.
Or even 9 platoon 9 company QLR. Food for thought. But no answer sorry.

Yeah, I saw that one on a web search, too. That's their tactical helmet flash, if I remember correctly. But is that the only one ever associated with the regiment? Or were they not constituted as a regiment long enough, between amalgamations, for anyone to have requested a necktie of a more traditional pattern?

Prost!
Brad

My gut feeling its NOT a Regimental tie. If I had to put money on it I would its either a Police "Squad " tie, Or a tie given out at some event by an organisation.

ie Metropolitan Police Flying Squad Tie
