Weapons Artillery - 37mm mountain gun

Discussion in 'Austro-Hungarian Empire' started by Dan Morton, Dec 3, 2015.

The British fielded a one pounder light artillery piece to clear enemy machine gun emplacements. The US Navy had 37mm light artillery in service since before the Spanish American War. My guess would be that the Austro-Hungarian 37mm mountain gun served the same purposes - driving the enemy out of or destroying machine gun and other types of fixed emplacements and observation points.
