Hi Pfer's,
Did I mention I had a few painting Wip's happening all at once? Here's one of the two Arthur's I also ha e going on at the moment. Working on the flesh tones, done in acrylics like the other's. Thanks for looking.
Chris.

Lovely paintwork on the face. Interesting pre-shade on the shirt and cap, have you done an overview somewhere of your acrylic technique?
That bust is not as "true" to the actor as the Gunners set. Easily recognisable but not quite there, still an excellent character study though.

Hello Rob,

Thank you very much. The pre-shade is a Vallejo Dark Grey, I believe it's German tank Grey or something along those lines. I use that for the shadows and then add in some acrylic white for the highlights, all airbrushed on.

Regarding the sculpt, this was actually the second version of this character I did, as I wasn't happy with the first version. I always try my best and felt it was an improvement, sometimes you just have to call it done and move on.

Warm Regards
Chris

Yes that is very nice, the skin tone is wonderful, I'm enjoying watching your projects progress.

Cheers Simon

That is looking very nice, looking at the uniform I think that is the denim rather than the wool battledress that they wore in the series most if the time, much nicer and comfortable I would imagine.

Cheers Simon
