A few more figures done and some fleshing out of phase 2 The battle. I have made a custom figure running with some PIAT ammo, a bren gunner laid down and a laid down Para next to him firing a sten. Thought I needed to start working on the barricades so I could place some of the figures.
Bloody hell I forgot what making sand bags was like after Pinned Like Rats. It was definitely Elvis don't you dare shelve this......I'm All Stuck Up.

I would think aomewhere between another 7 to 11 figures will do for this one. Apologies for the rubbish pics but you get the idea.

Forgot to add this is what's in transit.

Airborne Gunners as well, this is becoming truly epic. In the book Rifleman I mentioned there is a bit where the author before being captured and having run out of ammo was throwing bricks at the Germans!

My favourite topic. Following with interest. As well as Theirs is the Glory ( the best Arnhem film), I'd also recommend the DVD Last Words. My modelling mojo is on the floor. This has certainly got me interested again.

Hi All,
I am waitng on a couple of figures from Friendship models and then all the Para's fighting will be in place. Still some undercoating issues to sort, run out, equipment and debris ect to add.
I have made another 6 figures bringing the total to 18 so far, the radio operator still needs the set making but some significant progress. I am thoroughly enjoying this, getting some unique modelling done. Next I might make the groundwork for phase 3 Post battle as I have all the figures done other than some alterations to the rear of the jump smocks.

One thing you might want to consider, Richie is putting the kneeling guy upper story, behind the sandbag, rather than out in the open like that. That very minor detail aside, it looks magnificent.

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to swear on here cos this is just effin' epic. On the debris side I wonder if you will be putting broken glass in it all, I used to use the thin clear plastic from fresh fruit containers, all cut up it works a treat. Enjoying this immensely, more power to you Robbo ans Airborne all the way.

Hi All,
I have started to rough out the post battle scene...Phase 3.

I could not get the building I was after as it's out of production so this is my second choice idea.
I thought an enclosed setting for the wounded and the Para prisoners to be searched so I found
this Dutch farmhouse and thought about an enclosed court yard. This is my first draft...thoughts!
