I've seen a few of these figures done, but yours is the first that realistically captures how gory their battles must have been.
    Brilliant as always, Sergey.

Friends, thank you for your kind feedback!:notworthy::rolleyes:
For the body, I mixed oil: natural sienna, a little golden ocher, a little black and white in different proportions. Shine - very little linseed oil.

    Hi Sergey,
I never tire of looking at your work. The attention to detail is fantastic such as the hairs on the blade of the war club. Now I'm off to snap up my paint brushes:(
    cheers

    Once again: brilliant work Sergey!
I like your rather dark, yet lively style.

Looking forward to your further work.

    Hi Sergey,

I've seen this figure painted by some of the very best painters in the world (Pietro Balloni comes to mind) and yet, I don't think I've seen a more realistic and intense looking version. The blood is exceptionally realistic. Would you please share your recipe for painting blood and provide us with some suggestions for creating realitsic blood splatter and gore effects???:notworthy:

    I use oil paint.
    1 - burnt sienna
    2 - sienna + carmine
    3 - burnt sienna + umber
4 - burnt sienna + carmine rubbed with a brush
Splatter - splatter sprinkled with real brush by clicking finger. Oil paint thinned a bit thinner.
