Next project on the table; something with a lot of trash in the sewer. The Alpine figure is just for size reference. Another figure will be put in place. The gate is completed (besides the final weathering)
Next step : painting the walls (each stone will be painted individually; 550 in total)

Beautifully carved out masonry, it must have taken an age. If you are doing each brick individually you really are a glutton for punishment, good for you!

Cheers Simon

Thx. The carving out goes quite easily actually. The base color of the top part of the structure is finished (took me about 3 evenings of work). Now starting on filling the joints; blending in the colors and weathering. A lot of steps to possibly screw up😅

The reult after applying dry joint filler; followed with a layer of VMS Sand & Ballast Freeze. Next step : beldning in the joints which are still to bright and adding depth by the use of washes in different shades.

Ha ha what a beautiful but cheeky chap, black cats especially seem to get away with everything. One of mine likes to curl up in the corner of my desk, no wonder I am forever clearing cat hair off my models!

Cheers Simon

Some further progress this weekend. Was able to finish the electric wire and the fuse box and the cobblestone. Final weathering will be done when all is completed. Photographs don't really capture the exact color (still looking for the perfect set-up to take them).

Very nice, I did like making parts of buildings when I went through my diorama phase and this looks like very enjoyable work. Love the stone arch, in itself it a work of art.

Cheers Simon
