Just out from Jean-Luc Frey’s Wars and Peaces Miniatures company. His venture specialises in WW1 figures in the larger scale 65mm popularised by legendary French JMD.

Sculpted by the maestro Benoit Cauchies who captures a naturalness in pose & finest of details using traditional sculpting approach.

I was honoured to have provide technical advice on both these projects throughout the past year. Looking forward to painting them up during the year

#1 ANZAC @Gallipoli is an homage to Steve Warrilow’s 90’s Fusilier Brit & Dummy.

#2 Australian Infantryman overloaded & ready for action in Aussies first major action on Western Front

Yes we had a little ANZAC in mind from a series of portrait photos I popped through to Jean-Luc & Benoit.

Real quality sculpting from Benoit Cauchies in both posing and detail, even down to the missing button on the braces, little things like that make the difference to give character to the piece.

Great figures. Unfortunately, in trying to purchase one of them, War and Peaces apparently doesn't ship to the US?

Not the right period for me, but fantastic. This naturalistic depiction of a lived in uniform really lifts the subject matter.

Here’s one of Benoit’s In Progress shots showing Aussie Larrikin who inspired the face :)
Please drop Jean-Luc a direct email if you have difficulty.
Note he doesn’t speak English, so I always Google translate my messages to help with comms.

Both figures are excellent. Not usually my period, but the ANZAC #1 is a must have. Does he really not ship to the USA or is it an internet snafu?

    Just internet setup problems.
Electronic systems are not Jean-Luc’s strength he a passionate historian. Do email him & any challenges feel free to reach out to me - I’ll do my best help.

Two super looking pieces, full of character. Remember tackling Steve Warrilow’s version many moons ago. Can picture the second figure just about to head off “up the road” to Pozieres.
