    Hello All,
About halfway through this figure as will start a series of WW1 figures in this scale and possibly smaller(1/32).
There will a a few optional hats for this kit.
    Comments welcome.

The slouch hat as shown would be more appropriate for later in the campaign. ANZACS wore service caps, pith (Wolseley) helmets and slouch hats on landing. The Aussies tended to have the brim turned up on left, the Kiwis had 'lemon squeezer' hats.

A nice figure, would look even better in 120/150mm!

Thanks fo0r the comments guys.During the landings at Gallipoli they wore the peaked cap,it was afterwards that a variety of hats became issue. This model should depict mid campaign.

The head with the helmet could also be used for the Mesopotamia Campaign, I believe.

Interesting selection of headgear. The majority wear slouch hats with the brim down, one has his brim upturned on the left, there are a couple of service caps and possibly a forage cap (second figure from right) as well.

The nether-wear is also varied from shorts to what appear to be rolled up trousers. None of the soldiers appears to be wearing puttees. The third figure from the right is wearing a service cap, and is possibly bare-chested as is the leading figure. There is also a variation in kit worn from 1908 webbing to bandolier to what appears to be nothing.

Although the slouch hat is widely regarded as being typically Australian (and is currently worn by all three branches of the Australian armed forces), it was widely used by British, Empire and Dominion forces from the Boer War through to beyond WW2.

Generally speaking the Brimmed hat is from European eyes is quintessentially Aussie,However NewZealanders fought also and all manner of headwear during the period were used by the Anzacs.
