    Hi Folks,

Another figure from Rob Lane’s talented fingers ….a 54mm RFC pilot together with his trusty cricket bat.
I found the casting very crisp with virtually no prep required.
Paints are my usual oils over enamels, or just simply enamels.

I was also able to try out my new acquisition of a Glue Looper when repairing the bat handle for the second time. The first disaster was drilled and pinned in the usual manner, but the second was a break directly at the end of the pin. I can certainly confirm that a) I am truly cack-handed, and b) this tool delivers just the right amount of CA where it is required.

All comments, good or bad, are welcome.

This really is a lovely figure, when i see it, I think of Malcolm McDowell in Aces High:). Very nice painting Andrew and what a novel idea, using oils over enamels? I'm still using oils over oils:facepalm:.
    Best wishes, Gary.

I saw one of these at the South Australian expo (took first place) and it is an lovely piece of sculpting.

The figure is well painted, quite alive.

    Well done!

    Cheers

    Ian, Gary, Jamie,
    Thanks for the encouraging comments.

This is the fifth of Rob's products that I've enjoyed painting; four busts and now the figure.

It's already packed together with Baldrick and others.
Looking forward to the show ... See you on Sunday,
