Like others here I try to paint the viking from Seil. Here are the first photos. The viking is not finshis same as the base. But I think the photos will show the first impressions of the figur and the base.

Here a photo, which shows how it could look like when it is ready. The waterfall is not in there

    Thanks Dan and Perikles

The figure is not ready and you are right, Perikles, the arms are shiny, because it I have not finish them. They need highlights and shades and after that, like the red part over the trousers, you can see the right colour.

I have start painting the figure from below, because there were parts I can´t reach after stick the figure together.

    .

    Nice work so far Ulrich.

This is going to look great when done, especially mounted on the base you have made.

    Cheers,
    Jeff.

    Hi Ulrich,

nice painting and the base is beatiful! As for the waterfall, you said it's not ready, but the stream looks like coming down straight in an angle, not horizontally and near the bottom it seems have a little bend outwards, don't know if it's understandable :T, looking from the side it's hyperbolic, but should be parabolic :)).

Don't forget to show it when complete! *thumbs*

Thank you very much for your comments.

@ Denes: I understand what you mean and will have a look to change this.

@ Vigilius: First Naples yellow deep, than washings with burnt siena and burnt umber. Because it looks for me to "redbrown" and to new, I make a washing with white and then two washing with burnt umber

@ Roger: Now she said he has a red face ;)
