    Hey All,
Here is the finished piece. I’ll still probably come back in a month and take a second look before it hits the first competition of the year for me.

Was wondering how this project was going. Turned out great!

A small comment though (and not a negative one): I can't help but associate this kit with their recent Pin up series. The skintone here isn't as dramatic as those. It is a personal choice of course especially when you probably have opted to emphasize the action side of things, not wanting the sensuality of womanhood to steal attention.

Or, as I half suspect, it is just the light neutralising the variation in skintone.

    Thanks all!

Michael- part of it is the lighting. I really need to get this under my daylight balanced bulbs next time I set up the photo studio. I just threw up a backdrop on my bench and shot it last night. I want to see if I can get some better shots tonight.

I did not try to mimic the pin ups as I see those as 3d celebrations of the great pin up artisit like Alberto Vargas. And in all of those the skin tones are super rich and velvety smooth. I thought that that style would look out of place in a "combat" situation.

    Cheers,

    Mark

Just as I expected then, Mark. An intentional departure.
I can tell you had malicious fun with the whole set up. This is exactly what peole meant when they said Happy Modelling, isnt it?

    Congrats!

Wonderful piece, i like it very well.
For a more dynamic position you may only do a littlebit smoke to the gun.

    Very nicely turned out,
all that work really helps place the figure, and the balance between the figure and the ground work is is just superb.

    Cheers
