    Hello guys,
This is my finished Andrea Miniatures 1/16th scale figure, from their EK Series digital Sculpts.
Amazing results but extremely complex build. Layers and layers of painting, and lot's of accessories.
    Few Fixes needed.

Review and articles soon at the Michigan Toy Soldier Blog and the Scale Military Modeller International Magazine !
Painted with Andrea Miniatures Acrylics for the uniform.
Used Abteilung 502 Oils Paints on top of Acrylic for the skin tones.

Vegetation are from The Scenic Factory and Wood base by Hydra Models Italy.
    Comments are welcome :)

Thanks Bud, Yup, I love too see high contrast paintings, but not for my own. I rather stay in more realistic appearance. I like for the figure to have natural lights and not forced ones like zenithal and such techniques. It's a good approach to set figure against scale models, AFV's. If you make them too "cartoonish" the vehicle will be out of place with the figure. I learned figures by setting one or two along my AFV's so, the blending of the scene was always important, and that style was carried over my solo figures. But the high contrast sure is eye candy.

High contrast suits stand alone pieces...and mood? Your piece has a worn and tired emotion probably emphasized by lack of extreme contrasts..and most certainly would look right next to an AFV...that’s likewise not weathered to death

I love your painting style and I agree with you. The style of extreme highlights and shading is all well and good but doesn't always work.
Your style does tough, specially in this scale.
I really do like this one and thanks for the description of how the kit went. (y)
