    Hello Nap!

Yes, I used metalics from vallejo metal color series.
Normal black surface primer, after high gloss black, and apply the base color: 77712 steel, 1st light with
    77724 silver and 2nd
77707 Chrome. Shadows and deeper damages
77720 Gunmaetal. The brush more or less wet. After smoke wash(50%
70939-50%water) i just call magic wash, because good for the steels and the leather belts... and black wash, I learned from this video:

Plus 1! This figure would be just as acceptable if released today as it was 20+ years ago. Excellent subject and start.

Thanks for the update, all looking ok.... don't be afraid of yellow, add a little black if you want to darken it slightly and purple to shade it. Use a lighter yellow to highlight.

Sorry if l am teaching granny to suck eggs, hope l didn't miss interpret your post.

Look forward to seeing the finished product, keep posting.

I just start using the Kimera colors, basic set + cartacci. So, I'am in lesson learn stage:) but really friendy the paint, but the black is brutal, 20%paint 80%water like inks. Other sensitive colors: red, yellow, white are amazing.
And I also try Cartacci style... I'm far away, but happy the current results.

    Will keep watching.
