    Hello guys,
In this second part article for the Michigan Toy Soldier Blog, about Andrea Miniatures and their 1/16th scale DAK Panzer Soldier, I now review the line of Acrylic paints from Andrea.
Heavy body paints with amazing coverage and very nice color rendition and pigment.

What dilution are you airbrushing at?

Milk consistency. Heavy body paint does not allow for drop counts....

You have reviewed AK paints..wonder how you rate them vs these..if there are some tips or tricks you use to get the best out of them?

They are extremely similar to AK's newer figure lines. The are just a lot heavier and dense. That will make them last longer, you have more pigment per bottle.

Using VMS retarder on both to help drying time, and self levelling, I can say they both behave very similar, maybe Andrea drying even more matt that AK. Coverage on both is excellent, color rendering, drying time, resistance to wear and washes, etc.

Ak's first colors and the stand alone bottles are weird. They dry semi gloss, sometimes a lot of separation, and has problems airburshing. These made-for-figure lines are just trouble free.

Getting the Milk-like dilution on both, and a premium additive as VMS retarder, you can work on both with brush or airbrush and get similar results, with great coverage and flat finish.
