Just finished this one the other day. This Knight is not a good Knight but more of a rogue, his heraldry is a wolf hound. He has spotted his enemy through the trees and is about to ambush them. Please let me know what you think good or bad. Thanks for looking.

I seem to be going backwards in the picture department but I hope some detail shines through. This figure is produced by Soldiers and the turned base is by the Hussar.

Really nice painting and groundwork Mike. The heraldry looks finely done. Maybe you could post a close up image of the shield?
    Cheers Mat

    Very nice painting Mike.
I think the hard light that you used with the photographie has washed out alot of the colors.

    Hi! Mike.
    Excellent Knight.
    He's good-looking.
I also liked a ground work very much.
    I think very effective production.
    I congratulate completion.

You continue to improve with each figure, Mike. The logical conclusion of this is you becoming a world class painter. Fine job.--

Thanks guys I appreciate the feedback. Mat; I'll get a shield shot. The shield kinda tells the story of this Knight. It lets you read into his mindset of being a man who has lost his faith in heaven and centered it on the earth. His new found thinking has made it easier for him to kill his fellow man. So a little ambush at dawn is just another day at the office for this dark hearted fellow. Pedro; I have really grown to love the groundwork as much as painting the figure. Thank you fo the notice. Mitsutaka, thank you sir I always appreciate your words. Marc; yes the pics are not so good. I was not happy with them. I painted this guy to have a very dark mood about him and to reflect the feeling of a dim light. the mission was not accomplished with my photo's. Steven; Thank you for the compliment, my wife agrees that I am world class at being an a**. so you had part of it right.

Thanks again fellers. I really appreciate it. Here is the sheild.

Looking like you've captured that magic "darkness" of overall tone, Mike.... and the flow of the piece with the brush placements is very clever and powerful. Way to go! bravo!

Fantastic work Mike. The intergration of figure into the groundwork using the roots as scrub bushes really sets the scene for the knight.

Mike you have turned into a painting machine. Never seen this figure before. I like the dark mood of it. And the crest of course. Think a lot is lost in the photos.

Excellent work on both the painting and groundwork Mike.

    Cheers David
