    Hi pF,

Taking shape very nicely. The fur effect in the hood is very good.

Moving on to the pants next :)

Keeping it simple without the camo this time :)

Attempt at the winter pants. Not sure if these are the felt boots worn by the wss or are just normal marching boots. (I found some references for the felt boots. the leather is kinda of dark reddish brown. )

    Excellent work on the white.

I've only seen this figure painted with the felt boots so far. Would make sense as well given the cold setting and stage of the war.

    Cheers

Very nice and good to see that parka in field grey :)

Boots .... I would go toward a black, grey if very worn ...

IIRC german boots were made and then dyed so wear will reveal tan and/or natural leather colours...

    Thanks guys :)

SG, appreciate the photos of the felt boots :) Looks like there are a few variants of the felt boots. I based mine off the "Deutsche Soldaten" book by andrea :)

Simple snow base done. Now to lightly weather the parka and pants while trying not to mess it up :p
