This is the 1/16 scale Alpine figure, sculpted by John Rosengrant, which I'm currently building along with the partner MG42 Gunner. It's my first ever attempt at painting with oils after having had a great demo by Pete Watson recently. The oils are Winsor & Newton over a Lifecolour flesh base.

Not perfect and still needs a bit of work but overall I'm quite pleased. Any advice appreciated.

Hi Malc,

I haven't done a lot to be honest. I'm doing this figure in tandem with the MG42 Gunner and I've really struggled with the face on that one so I've put it down for a while. I'm hoping to get back into them next week, so I'll post more then.
