    Hi Everyone,

My apologies... it Has been a while since I have posted on here.

Id like to show you my recent 120mm Alpine figure, superb casting and sculpt as you would expect,so very nice to paint.

I decided to sculpt an eye patch and remove his tank destruction badges, just to make him look a little different.

Painted in oils over acrylics and enamels.

Very gratefull for some feadback and critique. (y)

    Many thanks

    Carlos

it's better/easier to upload them from your computer rather than from online. if you store them online you can right click on the picture and select 'save picture as" and it will go to your picture album. then upload from there after clicking browse in the pop up window. Hope this makes sense.

he looks fantastic. The boot print is a fabulous idea and the boots themselves look very realistic. great work.

    Nothing you did wrong :)

The gallery / album ideally is suited for a gallery of work, a portfolio so to speak - it can be used for storage of progress images or series of the same figure it just gets complicated as you just experienced ;)

I'll add that to my todo list on making the distinction of albums / posting attachments and how they are separate and exclusive to each other !

I fixed your post also by simply copying the album images URL and wrapping it in the image tags like this:

And by magic the images appear ! :) Thanks Gordy ! Im kinda stuck for how to post more pics later though,is there any where I can read on here apart from the Faqs ? instead of clicking insert image then do I click wrap tags around selected tx ? im not great on pc's so please forgive !

There are several ways to embed images, but two main ways:

    One
The built in uploader using this button [IMG] (in the FAQ) that has nothing with regards to the pF photo allbums

    Two
Linking from another site or from the pF photo album using this button [IMG]
This method requires grabbing the images URL and pasting it into the pop-up

Since you have already uploaded to pF you need to use method number two (which is not in the FAQ) :(
Let me know if that helps or not :)

That is a nice piece of painting Carl, simple but very effective groundwork.

    Excellent work all around Carl.
I particularly like the face; it has the same 'richness' as Calvin Tan's painting for the box art.
    Well done.

Good you painted a white cross (indicating water) over the jerrycan....he could lose his other eye as well smoking that cigarette next to it!

    Cheers,
    Adrian

Carl when posting images use the MANAGE ATTACHMENTS button which appears in the next column under the TEXT section. Click on the button and then you can browse your computer to upload images directly to PF, also allows you to upload multiple images.

heres an image showing the button, hope it helps mate.

Hi Carl, I really like this one mate , painting is clean n crisp the pink cold tones of the face add to the hole thing and the whites are spot on .
I’ve never paid much attention to this figure before but the way you have done it, makes me think twice about it !
    Well done

    HI Carl,

I especially like the face and the crispness of the uniform details. The boot print is also very well done. The white trousers are perhaps a little too white for my liking. They look like they've just come out of the wash. Perhaps a few mud splatters on the lower half and some general dirt and grime would make the figure blend into the groundwork a bit more and look even more realistic?

    Hi Tony,

Thanks for takeing a look, appreciate the feadback...

I chose a cool white for this figure, and wanted a little cleaner look to him due to him being aloft his stug... I appolagise for the terrible images as they have bleached them out a fair bit, they are not so white, also almost absent from the pics is the weathering around the lower half allthough I kept this subtle to add to the theme but its there honestly,I will take some better pictures and tweak the weathering a bit more to the front, its quite heavy at the rear so will grab a pic of that area also.

    Thankyou Tony
